Teaching philosophy
My teaching experience and interest resolves around hands-on experimental teaching. I believe that people learn better when they are exploring rather than being lectured at and I try to take my students out into the field as much as possible. During the lectures I do give, I make sure to involve the students by asking questions frequently, incorporating discussions and interactive activities that involve what they just heard about.
I also want to encourage my students to value their other talents and dedicate time to them as well as to their academics. It is often these talents that set them apart from the rest, they are therefore a real asset to success. Furthermore, making room for non-academics often alleviates academic stress and can lead to better academic performance.
